The Houston Texans continued the excellent feeling of their 2023-24 campaign as two of their star players earned major awards at Thursday's NFL Honors.
Quarterback CJ Stroud picked up the Offensive Rookie of The Year Award, while defensive end Will Anderson earned the Defensive Player of The Year Award.
The awards capped a tremendous season for the Texans. After several losing seasons, Houston won the AFC South and won a playoff game under rookie head coach DeMeco Ryans.
The Texans are the fourth team in history to have rookies win both awards. It is a testament to Stroud and Anderson's excellence.
Stroud, in particular, enjoyed a phenomenal rookie season. The Ohio State product threw for over 4,000 yards and scored 26 touchdowns.
Speaking to NFL Network, Stroud said, "It's an honor. To be voted amongst this rookie group and win this award is an honor."
