The Houston Texans are a relatively new name in the NFL.
Established in 1999, the team did not start playing until 2002 and the early years were difficult ones, however, this began to change in the 2010s.
The franchise secured their first playoff berth and first AFC South division championship in 2011, and since then have become regular players in the postseason.

When it comes to reaching the NFL's biggest game, the Texans have hit a roadblock.
While the franchise have become AFC South champions on six occasions (2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019), they are yet to win a playoff game on the road and are the only NFL franchise to not appear in a conference championship.
If the Texans are to realise any dreams of reaching the Super Bowl, they first need to produce a deep run into the postseason and not fall at the first hurdle.
