There's a reason Anthony Richardson was taken fourth overall by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The former Florida Gators star is known for his mobility, which contributed to him being taken so highly by the Colts. But even the Indianapolis front office could not have foreseen just how quickly their faith in Richardson would pay off.

The Colts lost in Week 1, 31-21, to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Richardson was not to blame for that defeat. In fact the 21-year-old was a huge part of why the Colts were as competitive as they were in their season opener, as the rookie threw for 223 yards and connected with Michael Pittman Jr. for a touchdown pass.

He also got to show off his abilities on the ground, racking up 40 yards on 10 carries and running into the end zone for a TD.

As good as his debut was, Richardson took it to another level on Sunday in the Colts' Week 2 matchup against the Houston Texans, as he scored two rushing TDs within the first six minutes of play to help Indy take an early 14 lead.

It seemed as though everything was going swimmingly for the first-year pivot, but in the second quarter he exited the game with a potential concussion.
