Could Dalvin Cook get traded at the deadline?

With the trade deadline falling on 4:00 p.m. ET on October 31st, NFL teams are ramping up trade talks as they try to acquire and offload players.

New York Jets running back Dalvin Cook is one player to watch. After joining the Jets in the summer, the move has not worked for the former Minnesota Viking. Cook has failed to usurp starting running back Breece Hall. Subsequently, Cook's playing time has been minimal; he has only played 95 offensive snaps, recorded 39 carries and is last in yards per carry.

On Thursday, Cook spoke to the New York media and conveyed his frustrations; "Of course it's frustrating. I'm an honest person, man. I want to play. That's just anybody." Cook continued, "It's frustrating, it's new for me. I come from getting the ball 20 times a game. Of course, it's frustrating. It's something I've been adapting to."

Cook only signed a one-year $7 million deal in August. He is a relatively inexpensive player with a proven track record. If other teams want to sign a running back, Cook is a proven 1,000-yard rusher. Cook commented on potential trades, "It's a different scenario for me. But it's something I can't control, having my name being floated around in trade rumours. ... It might be a good thing."

Cook will undoubtedly be a hot name to watch as the deadline nears.
