The defending Super Bowl champs were met with little resistance from the Broncos.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are arguably the best one-two punch in the NFL.

The quarterback-tight end duo demonstrated that yet again as they led the way for the Kansas City Chiefs to deliver a 19-8 home win over the Denver Broncos at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO on Thursday Night Football. Mahomes aired it out for 306 yards and a touchdown, while Kelce hauled in nine receptions for 124 yards as the Chiefs improved to 5-1.

Mahomes found Kelce twice during the Chiefs' lone touchdown drive of the game during the second quarter, completing a seven-play, 62-yard jaunt that made it 10-0.

Harrison Butker then connected on a 60-yard field goal — one of his four field goals on the night — to extend the Chiefs' lead to 13-0 at the half. They'd make it 16-0 entering the fourth quarter.

Though the Broncos' defense relatively held its own, forcing the Chiefs to settle on those field goals, their offense left a lot to be desired. Of course, the Chiefs' defense had plenty to do with that, coming up with opportune plays. Russell Wilson was intercepted twice and sacked four times, finishing with just 95 yards passing.

It took a questionable roughing the passer call in the fourth quarter for the Broncos to finally cash in on a touchdown, which came on an 11-yard, one-handed grab by Courtland Sutton, to make it 16-8.

However, the score came with 6:11 left and a Denver fumble a drive later ended any long shot of a rally attempt, as the Broncos fell to 1-5 on the season.

Here's how the entire Chiefs-Broncos' game went.
