Big win for the Cowboys.

After getting beat down and routed by the San Francisco 49ers last week, the Dallas Cowboys needed to bounce back to boost their morale.

They did just that by delivering a gritty 20-17 road victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Dak Prescott finished with 272 passing yards and one touchdown, while wideout CeeDee Lamb hauled in seven receptions for 117 yards.

In a game that had three separate ties, knotted up at 17 late in the fourth quarter, Prescott led the Cowboys on a 14-play, 54-yard drive — converting three third down plays — to help set up a 39-yard field goal by Brandon Aubrey to put Dallas up 20-17 with 2:19 left.

The defense, which had been grinding to get to Chargers' quarterback Justin Herbert all game long, finally got through as Cowboys' linebacker Micah Parsons beat two blockers to sack Herbert for a loss of eight yards on 2nd down.

Then, on the very next play, Cowboys' cornerback Stephon Gilmore sat on the route to intercept Herbert with 1:29 remaining, sealing the victory for the Cowboys, who improve to 4-2 entering their bye week.
