The Rams suffer a setback in the competitive NFC West.

The Miami Dolphins' defense was absolutely dominant.

And their offense was good enough as the Dolphins snapped a three-game skid with a 23-15 road victory over the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Monday Night Football.

After shortcomings the past three games, the Dolphins' defense kept Matthew Stafford and the Rams' potent offense out of the end zone, allowing five field goals instead. They also sacked Stafford four times for a loss of 36 yards, with three of those sacks coming on pivotal third downs. In addition, the Dolphins' defense forced three fumbles and intercepted Stafford once in their dominating display.

Tua Tagovailoa, playing in his third straight game since returning from a concussion, handled the rest by marching the Dolphins down the field on their opening drive before rookie Malik Washington rushed in a touchdown. Then, in the third quarter, Tagovailoa found Tyreek Hill for a 1-yard touchdown pass to give the Dolphins some padding en route to victory.

Jason Sanders was also 3-for-3 in field goals for Miami. With the win, the Dolphins (3-6) saved their season and will roll the dice against the Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers and New York Jets over the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, the loss against the Dolphins pushes the Rams (4-5) back under .500 in a costly defeat as they lose ground in the NFC West.

Here are the key updates and highlights from the Dolphins' big win over the Rams.
