How are NFL fans coping with the offseason?

NFL fans have taken to social media to express their feelings now that the NFL season is over.

The NFL is an all-consuming beast. It dominates the lives of fans from the start of training camp to the Super Bowl.

Fans often feel empty and lost when the first Sunday with no football arrives. This year was no different.

The NFL's offseason is long. Most major sports leagues play competitive fixtures for at least eight months.

The shortness of the season is the NFL's unique selling point.

However, just because there is no competitive football until September, the NFL offseason is full of significant events.

The NFL Scouting Combine is days away. This is where teams scout, interview and collect data on prospects ahead of the draft.

The start of free agency heralds the start of the new league year. That usually happens in early March.

And in April, the 2024 NFL Draft will take centre stage. The draft is the NFL's biggest offseason event. Clubs will use months of preparation to good use as they build their rosters and look for future stars.
