It’s another big NFL week on deck, though four teams are on a much-needed bye: the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders and Seattle Seahawks.
Still, there’s more than enough alluring matchups and players to consider picking up off the fantasy waiver wire.
Here, DAZN lists the top quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers to scoop up.
Quarterbacks
Matthew Stafford
This is the second straight week I'm leading with Matthew Stafford at quarterback and for good reason — everything is coming together for the Los Angeles Rams. They have won three straight games to get to .500 and the veteran QB has been a big reason for it, having followed a four-touchdown week with 298 yards passing and two TDs in a victory last week.
This week against the Miami Dolphins, one should not only grab him off the fantasy waiver wire but start him as Miami’s defense has allowed an average of 29 points over the past two games. With weapons such as Cooper Kupp, Demarcus Robinson and Puka Nacua as his wideouts at full strength, Stafford is capable of ringing up big numbers.
Justin Herbert
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Cleveland Browns last week and although his matchup against the Tennessee Titans’ secondary should be tougher, he has some favorable matchups thereafter. So this might be the ideal week to grab and stash Herbert, before utilizing him soon thereafter.
Tua Tagovailoa
In a 30-27 loss to the Buffalo Bills last week, Tagovailoa aired it out for 231 yards and two touchdowns. He could post similar or better numbers against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.
Running backs
Tyler Allgeier
So Allgeier’s six rushes for 18 yards and a touchdown last week weren’t otherworldly. But against the New Orleans Saints this week, the Atlanta Falcons running back could see a big boost in those numbers.
That makes him worth taking a flyer on.
Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Look, at 2-7, the New York Giants’ season is a wash. Yet, just look at what Tracy has been able to accomplish the past couple of weeks. He followed a ridiculous 145 yards rushing and a touchdown to end October with a respectable 66 yards on the ground to start November.
And with the Giants hosting the Carolina Panthers, who tout one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the rookie running back could be in store for a dazzling day. He’s had a combined 36 carries the past two weeks so the workload is going to be there.
If he’s not rostered in your league, acquire Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Rico Dowdle, Cowboys
Still sleeping on Dowdle? The running back rushed for 75 yards on 12 carries in a Dallas Cowboys loss last week and could be good in subsequent weeks for similar numbers with a consistent workload.
Why not take a chance? Especially if you're thin in the backfield.
Wide receivers
Cedric Tillman
It’s another miserable season in Cleveland as the Browns are mired in a 2-7 record, trudging through another rough year.
But second-year wideout Cedric Tillman has been a bright spot with an upward trajectory as he hauled in six receptions for 75 yards and the Browns’ sole touchdown in a loss last week.
Now, the Browns are on a bye this week but snatching Tillman off the waivers and saving him until next week when the Browns face a struggling New Orleans Saints would be wise.
Rome Odunze
Does Caleb Williams have a new favorite target? He just might in fellow rookie Rome Odunze who came up with five catches for 104 yards on seven targets in a big performance last week.
These kinds of numbers and Williams’ continued growth make Odunze an enticing option because he and his QB can grow together for many years to come.
Quentin Johnston
Justin Herbert found this second-year wide receiver for four catches toward 118 yards and a touchdown in a monstrous performance last week.
That’s worth a roll of the dice even against a stingy Titans’ secondary ... and beyond.
