NFL insider Albert Breer has hinted that the Justin Fields saga could end soon.
Fields is the Chicago Bears' current starting quarterback. But the Bears hold the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Since the end of the season, Fields' future has dominated the NFL rumour mill.
Will the Bears keep Fields and not draft a quarterback? Or will the Bears move Fields on and draft a replacement with the first pick?
Fields himself said earlier this week that he wants to stay in Chicago. Fields also said that he wants the Bears to decide so he knows his future.
On ESPN1000 radio in Chicago, Breer offered his latest intel on Fields' situation. Breer said, "I think Chicago will set the bones of the trade next week… There's some urgency on the Bears' part to get something done."
The NFL Scouting Combine is next week. All 32 teams will meet in Indianapolis to scout prospects and discuss any trades or signings.
The Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers have been heavily linked with Fields. Both teams could strike a deal for Fields next week.
