Christmas is here once again, and this year the NFL offers two games for fans to enjoy.
Up first is the Cleveland Browns vs. Green Bay Packers. The Browns (7-7) are fighting for their playoff lives, with no less than four teams ahead of them in the wild card race. Things don't get easier for them as the Packers (11-3) are looking like a Super Bowl favourite and enter Saturday's contest on a three-game winning streak.
After that matchup is complete, the primetime game features the Indianapolis Colts at the Arizona Cardinals. Neither team is in as desperate a situation as the Browns are, but both the Colts (8-6) and Cardinals (10-4) have their own motivations to come away from Christmas with the "W."
For Indianapolis, the chance to make up ground on AFC South-leading Tennessee should provide enough impetus to go for the victory, as divisional winners enjoy advantageous playoff seedings. For the Cardinals, the chance to halt a two-game losing skid is of paramount importance, especially with the Rams hot on their tails for divisional supremacy.
That means stars like quarterback Kyler Murray need to step up for the Cardinals, according to former Arizona QB-turned-pundit Carson Palmer.
"I just really look to see what kind of leader Kyler is going forward because now it really is all on him, now it's really on his shoulders," Palmer said. "Now it's on Kyler, can Kyler lead this team? Can he find a way to shake that just bad body language that we have seen the past couple of weeks? Can he find a way to lead this group of guys? Can he find a way to overcome some adversity that they are going to have to overcome again?"
Here's everything you need to know about Saturday's broadcast.
