Veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson has hinted on social media that his playing career in the NFL could be at an end.

Jackson, a second round pick in the 2008 draft, has played for Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams and Washington during his career.

Best known for his down-field threat, Jackson currently holds the NFL record for most touchdowns of over 60 yards (26) and joint-most touchdowns of over 80 yards (5).

"Did it my way 15 years strong! Neva anotha like it," Jackson posted on his social media account.

Back in 2010, Jackson became the first player to be named to the Pro Bowl for two different positions, selected at wide receiver and return specialist.

Jackson's best season came with the Eagles in 2013 when he caught 82 passes for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns.

On four occasions (2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018) Jackson led the league in average yards per reception, most notably in 2010 when he averaged 22.5 yards and totalled over 1,000 yards on just 47 catches.

Since 2019 Jackson has not started more than five games in a season, and has not caught more than 14 passes in any of those campaigns.

Last season, Jackson caught just nine passes for 153 yards with the Baltimore Ravens, and since being released has remained a free agent.

If this is to be the end of Jackson's playing career, he will finish with 12,092 total yards and 68 touchdowns.
