It's time to put Saquon Barkley at the front of the MVP race.
The dynamic running back rushed for 255 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 37-20 victory over the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Sunday Night Football. With the victory, the Eagles (9-2) have now won seven straight games as one of the NFL's hottest teams.
With the Eagles owning a 13-7 lead at halftime, Barkley broke the game wide open with a 70-yard rushing TD as the first play of the third quarter.
Though the Rams would score a touchdown as a response, they'd never get closer than that. Barkley's second TD came in the fourth quarter and was for 72 yards into the end zone.
Both rushing TDs had him following key blocks and making real-time adjustments toward scoring. Not only was Barkley's 255 yards rushing a career-high and the Eagles' franchise record for single-game rushing yards, but it also marked a Top 10 all-time single-game rushing yards performance in NFL history.
With the loss, the Rams (5-6) fall back under .500.
Here are the key updates and highlights from Barkley's scintillating night to lead the Eagles to a big win over the Rams.
