The Super Bowl contenders lose a key weapon on offense.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is expected to miss around four weeks after suffering a broken arm against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday.

The 28-year-old has been in good form of late, totalling 38 receptions for 410 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, Goedert is expected to undergo further tests on Monday and potentially have surgery the same day in the hopes of returning sooner.

The Eagles tight end has had bad luck with injury in his NFL career, and has never played a full season without missing time.

Thankfully for the Eagles, the first of Goedert's weeks out is their bye week, but he will be sorely missed for their huge Week 11 trip to Kansas City.

Who are the back-up tight ends in Philadelphia?

Third year tight end Jack Stoll and former Denver Bronco Albert Okwuegbunam will see increased time on the field while Goedert is out.

Stoll has just two catches on the season while Okwuegbunam is yet to be targetted since joining in the offseason.

It is unlikely either will fill the pass catcher void left by Goedert, so the wide receivers will probably see an increased target share in the coming weeks.
