The Eagles will kick off their 2024 season in Brazil.

The NFL is heading to Brazil in 2024, with the league announcing that the Philadelphia Eagles will be ‘hosting’ their Week One clash in Sao Paulo.

The league did not confirm who the Eagles will be facing in the game which takes place on Friday, September 6.

But now it would appear that the Eagles' opponent has been revealed after Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Maurice Hurst told the team’s Cleveland Browns Daily Show: “We’re playing in Brazil this year.”

There has been no official confirmation by the league yet, with Hurst himself appearing to backtrack on social media afterwards.

"I have [zero] confirmation that we'll be playing in Brazil, just excited at the possibility of being one of the first teams to do so! Would be happy lining up with this team anywhere," he posted on X, formerly Twitter.

The Browns are listed as one of the Eagles’ nine home opponents this season, with another two in the Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers already scheduled to be playing international games in 2024.

The 2024 NFL season will kick off the night before the Sao Paulo clash when the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs host a yet-to-be-determined opponent.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings are all slated to be home teams in London this season, with their opponents yet to be confirmed.

The Panthers will be playing in Germany, with the Eagles game in Sao Paulo the league’s first-ever jaunt to Brazil.

The full NFL schedule is usually released during the second week of May.
