Pro Bowl 2023: Format, rosters, TV channel, live stream and how to watch NFL showcase in Canada

Pro Bowl 2023: Format, rosters, TV channel, live stream and how to watch NFL showcase in CanadaGetty

Since 2010, the Pro Bowl has taken place the week before the Super Bowl.

That won't change this year, as the Pro Bowl is set for this weekend in Las Vegas. However, just about everything else about the event will look different this time around, as the traditional game of NFL football played between the best players from each conference has been replaced by the "Pro Bowl Games," a series of skills-based challenges that is designed to turn up the star-power of the annual event.

Similar to the all-star games from other major North American leagues, the Pro Bowl Games will give players the chance to shine in individual competitions prior to the main event. And even that has changed as a series of short flag football games has replaced the traditional four-quarter Pro Bowl game of years past.

How will everything work? And who's participating in this year's events?

Here are the full rosters for the Pro Bowl Games and all the information you need to catch the action:

Pro Bowl Games 2023: Kickoff date and time

  • Date: Sunday, February 5
  • Time: 3:00 p.m. ET

The games are scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. PT in Las Vegas.

Pro Bowl Games: Format and events

As mentioned, the standard NFL Pro Bowl game is no longer, with several different skills-based events taking its place.

  • Best Catch: Similar to the NBA's dunk contest, players will be judged be celebrities and former NFLers on the creativity and difficulty of their catches.
  • Gridiron Gauntlet: A relay race involving various obstacles to tests players' speed, strength and agility.
  • Move The Chains: Teams work together to pull first-yard chains up a wall. The chains are weighed down.
  • Kick Tac Toe: The kickers, punters and long snappers compete on a massove tic tac toe board.
  • Flag Football: The main event of the Pro Bowl Games, teams will compete 7-on-7 on a smaller field.
