The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are on the edge of glory.
One more win at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas will see the victors lift the Vince Lombardi trophy on Sunday evening, and make all the hard work worthwhile.
For the losers, it will be a bitter pill to swallow after a brilliant 2023 season.
But how did each team come to reach Super Bowl LVIII? DAZN takes a look at how they got here.
Kansas City Chiefs
The reigning Super Bowl champions did not have it all their way in 2023.
Uncharacteristic struggles on offense saw them struggle at times, and many people ruled out any chance of them winning back-to-back Super Bowls.
But in the latter stages of the season, and particularly during the playoffs, the Chiefs have turned up and shown why they are a dominant force in the NFL.
Having always reached the Super Bowl while playing postseason games at Arrowhead, this time around the Chiefs had to go on the road which brought about concerns.
But the doubters were proved wrong, as the Chiefs won in Buffalo before upsetting the AFC's #1 seeds, the Baltimore Ravens, to book their ticket to Las Vegas.
How did the Chiefs reach the Super Bowl?

- Beat Miami Dolphins 26-7 in Wild Card Round
- Beat Buffalo Bills 27-24 in Divisional Round

San Francisco 49ers
From early in the 2023 season, the San Francisco 49ers looks destined for a deep postseason run.
Kyle Shanahan's side went 5-0 to start the season before their blip, during which they lost three straight games while the likes of Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams were sidelined.
But back to full strength, the 9ers put together another six-win streak before slipping to defeats against the Ravens and Rams to close out the season.
They have not looked at their best in the postseason, twice having to come from behind to edge past the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.
On another day the Lions would have held onto the 24-7 lead they held at half-time, but Brock Purdy and co. hit back to earn their place in the biggest game of them all.
How did the 49ers reach the Super Bowl?
