The 22-year-old Canadian scored his first touchdown in the NFL in a win over the Broncos.

We've seen Chase Claypool away from the field, but in Week 2 the Steelers rookie showed why he's expected to have a huge impact on the field.

Claypool scored his first-ever career touchdown in Pittsburgh's 26-21 win over the Denver Broncos, one of three receptions the young Canadian made on the day. The first-half TD was result of a laser-like throw from Ben Roethlisberger, with Claypool hauling the ball in from the sky. The 22-year-old did well to stay inbounds before turning on the jets to get himself to the end zone.

"When I had looked at my foot as soon as I caught the ball I knew I was close to the sideline. I didn't know how close, but when the ref didn't blow the whistle I obviously kept going," Claypool told DAZN's Adnan Virk during the latest episode of "Rookie Diaries." "I actually don't know how close it really was, but I was about 75 percent sure I scored and it would stand."

Indeed, the touchdown stood and Claypool had his first NFL major highlight in just his second game.

Overall, the Abbostford, B.C. native is pleased with his first two games as a professional. Claypool feels that the Steelers coaching staff has been bringing him along at just the right pace to allow him to transition from the college game to the NFL.

"It's been really good so far," Claypool said. "You know, I wasn't really thrown into the fire for the first week in the game. I was able to go in a couple plays, come out, watch, go in a couple plays. The transition has been pretty smooth so far and I'm just looking forward to kind of growing on that."
