A hotel fire alarm disrupted the San Francisco 49ers' Super Bowl preparations. A fire alarm forced a 6:00 a.m. evacuation on Thursday morning at the 49ers' Nevada hotel.
Superstar running back Christian McCaffrey was frustrated, claiming it was done deliberately. McCaffrey said, "I think there's no way it's random. It's part of it. It's just more wood thrown on the fire."
Defensive end Nick Bosa was also sure that someone was behind the alarm sounding; Bosa said, "I'm sure somebody did it."
The alarm was the latest issue the 49ers have dealt with this week. The 49ers have held concerns over the state of their training facilities at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Doubts about the quality of the turf have led to 49ers officials questioning the NFL. On Monday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell robustly defended the conditions.
Add all that to various allegations about Kansas City's offensive line, and the 49ers are carrying several issues into Sunday's Super Bowl.
Bosa succinctly said, "We're just trying to get to Sunday and be as prepared as possible. And if we have to deal with a couple more issues, we're ready to do it."
