The Los Angeles Rams are rolling again.
After taking victories against the Cowboys and Eagles to open the 2020 season, the Rams dropped a hard-fought game to the Bills, 35-32, in Week 2. The Rams then rung off two straight victories, against the Giants and Washington, respectfully.
That puts the Rams at 4-1 to start the season, and they have a good chance to get their fifth win on Sunday when they face the struggling San Francisco 49ers.
It's been — charitably — an up-and-down season for the 49ers, who sit at 2-3 on the season. The Niners were dismantled last week by the Dolphins, 43-17, in a game that saw the return of Jimmy Garoppolo from injury. The quarterback looked uncomfortable during his time on the field, throwing for just 77 yards and two interceptions, and questions have arisen as to whether he's actually ready to take over full-time duties.
Garoppolo says he's ready to go Sunday, but he'll have to deal with a marauding Rams defence that is fresh off an eight-sack performance against Washington.
