There was breaking news in the NFL on Tuesday as the Tennessee Titans fired head coach Mike Vrabel.
After four great years with the Titans, the last two seasons have seen the Titans end with a record below .500 and miss out on the playoffs.
Vrabel is widely regarded as a top coach at NFL level, and there are plenty of other teams who would benefit from having a head coach of his calibre.
DAZN looks at three teams which could make a move for Vrabel.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots still have Bill Belichick as head coach at the time of writing, but there is plenty of speculation surround the future Hall of Famer's future with the franchise.
Talks between Belichick and the Patriots continue, but if New England do move on from Belichick then Vrabel would be strongly linked having spent eight years playing for the franchise.
Vrabel is part of the New England Patriots Hall of Fame and is a three-time Super Bowl winner, as well as being NFL's Coach of the Year in 2021.
The move would seem to make perfect sense, but as things stand Belichick remains the head coach of the Patriots.
Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders are one of five teams - other than the Titans - who are currently without a head coach.
Washington moved on from Ron Rivera after another disappointing season in which they went 4-13.
The Commanders wanted an experienced head coach when the hired Rivera.
Vrabel ticks all the same boxes but could improve the team in a tough division.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers are another of the five teams who started the week looking for a new head coach after they fired Brandon Staley late in the season.
The Bolts have been incredibly disappointing on defense in recent years, and Vrabel would be a prime candidate to move to SoFi Stadium and fix that.
Los Angeles already has its franchise quarterback in place, which would be one less job for Vrabel to do compared to the likes of the Commanders or Atlanta Falcons.
The Chargers have been heavily linked with Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, but Vrabel's firing will surely see his name linked with the Bolts.
