The Tennessee Titans quarterback was unable to continue in London.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill exited their NFL London game against the Baltimore Ravens early after suffering a second-half injury.

With his side trailing 21-13 in the fourth quarter, the 35-year-old was carted away from the field in considerable discomfort.

Tannehill was taken to the X-Ray room at the Tottenham Hostpur Stadium for scans on his right ankle, which he was struggling to put his full weight on.

The full extent of the injury is still unknown, but if Tannehill has suffered a high ankle sprain or worse he could spend time on the sidelines.

One of the biggest competitions of the 2023 preseason was for the back-up quarterback job in Tennessee.

Malik Willis - a third round pick from 2022 - and Will Levis - a second round pick this year - went head to head to be the back-up to Tannehill.

After weeks of competition, Willis was named the back-up, and after Tannehill exited the game in London the sophomore took over.

Willis started three games for the Titans in 2022 - winning one - in which he completed under 51% of his passes but did have 27 rushing attempts for 123 yards and a score.

Willis threw a confident nine-yard pass to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine on his first play of the game, as the Titans looked to turn the game around in the fourth quarter in London.
