TJ Watt shared his frustration and unhappiness on social media ahead of Thursday's NFL Honors.
The Pittsburgh Steelers star was a Defensive Player of The Year nominee but ultimately lost out to Cleveland Browns player Myles Garrett.
Watt led the NFL with 19 sacks—five more than Garrett. However, Garrett won the award with 23 votes, while Watt finished second with 19.
After discovering the result before the NFL announced the award, Watt took to X and clarified his feelings.
Referring to the award snub, Watt said, "Nothing I'm not used to."
Watt is a former Defensive Player of The Year winner. He won the award in 2021 after breaking the NFL single-season sack record. And he clearly feels he should have won his second Defensive Player of The Year Award for 2023-24.
Nonetheless, Watt's 2023-24 performance did not go unnoticed. He did leave with the Deacon Jones Award for most regular-season sacks.
