The seven-time Super Bowl winner will step into the broadcasting booth this season.

Tom Brady will begin his NFL broadcasting career this season when he takes up his role as Fox Sports’ lead analyst.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner’s first game in the broadcast booth will be the Week 1 clash between the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns after the NFL revealed a select group of early 2024 fixtures ahead of Wednesday’s full schedule release.

Brady is the latest NFL great to turn his hand to broadcast media following his retirement as a player and he will no doubt know that if he is to succeed in the role, he cannot be afraid to call out his former contemporaries.

Speaking at a Fox presentation to announce Brady’s first game, the 46-year-old gave his instant reaction to the news and offered a bit of needle to the Cowboys.

“Obviously having the Cowboys on is a huge draw, as America’s team,” Brady said. “That’s gonna get a little hard for me to say that all the time. I understand.

“They were the competition for a long time, but in this new role, I know the Cowboys, how important they are to this network. They’ve got great storylines. Come on, Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through.”

This subtle dig at Prescott, who is about to begin his ninth season as the Cowboys’ starting quarterback and has never made it to the Super Bowl drew a reaction from the crowd present at the event.

“Did that just slip out?” Brady asked with a smirk.

With ten Super Bowl appearances to his name, no one else on earth is more qualified than Brady to talk about reaching the big game and this was a promising sign that he can succeed in his burgeoning broadcasting career.
