Superstar Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has revealed that he almost joined the New York Jets, but the move failed due to actor Adam Sandler.
On Marlon Humphrey's Punch Line Podcast, Hill said, "I was almost a New York Jet. I'm a huge Adam Sandler fan, and Adam Sandler loves the Jets. My whole thing was for Adam Sandler to call me, but he never called.
"If he called me, I would have joined."
Hill also confirmed his choice between two teams: "It was between the Jets and Miami Dolphins."
Hill ultimately chose Miami and has performed exceptionally for the Dolphins. Over the last two seasons, Hill has scored 21 touchdowns and amassed 3509 receiving yards. The Dolphins have won 20 games and lost 14 since Hill joined. Meanwhile, the Jets have posted back-to-back losing seasons.
Hill and the Dolphins will play the Jets twice in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
