The Minnesota Vikings were in a funk, and all it took was a historic game for the team to earn its first win of the 2020 season.
Rookie sensation Justin Jefferson racked up 103 receiving yards in the Vikings' 31-23 Week 4 win over the Texans, and Jefferson — along with Dalvin Cook (130 rushing yards) and Adam Thielen (114 receiving yards) — helped form the Vikings' first trio of 100-yard gainers in 20 years.
It's the kind of multipronged performance the Vikings will need in their next game: Sunday's matchup in Seattle against the Seahawks.
Led by the sublime play of quarterback Russell Wilson, the Seahawks have downed all challengers so far this year en route to a perfect 4-0 record heading into Week 5. Seattle is not just grinding out victories, either — the Seahawks are averaging 35.5 points per game with Wilson looking like an MVP contender.
While Seattle won't have its famed home crowd to create an advantage at an empty CenturyLink Field on Sunday, the Seahawks are flying so high that it may not matter all that much.
Everything will need to go right for the Vikings to stand a chance in the Pacific Northwest this weekend, including QB Kirk Cousins' utilization of offensive weapons Jefferson, Cook and Thielen.
