The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to go 9-0 tonight as they host the Washington Commanders on "Monday Night Football."
The Eagles are the talk of the NFL, with the length of their winning streak the principle topic of discussion. How long can they keep the victorious run going for? Will they eventually challenge for an unbeaten season?
While the latter question may not be answered for months, the Eagles are a good bet to go at least 9-0 as they face the struggling Commanders (4-5). Washington's coming off a 20-17 loss to Minnesota and are the decided underdogs tonight, and they should provide little resistance to the well-oiled Eagles machine.
Despite the team's blazing start however, Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni feels that the process is more important than the individual results.
“Now, we’re results aware but process driven, and we will talk about that all the time because we know if we continue to stick to the process, good things will happen,” Sirianni said.
"Trust the process" has become a notable phrase in Philadelphia sports in recent years, and for the Eagles it seems to be the recipe for success.
