The Panthers were shut out by the New York Jets in their first week of preseason action, before having a better showing but still coming up short against the New York Giants last week.

The game had Panthers quarterback Matt Corral complete 9-of-13 passes for 71 yards in the loss.

Meanwhile, the Lions defeated the Giants to start their preseason but were defeated soundly by the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.
