No two stadiums are alike, and in 2023 there is a huge variation of arenas which NFL fans can visit.

From Soldier Field, which was first used in 1924, to SoFi Stadium which opened just a few years ago, the age of each team's stadium varies dramatically.

So many great arenas do not make this shortlist, Minnesota Vikings' U.S. Bank Stadium, Las Vegas Raiders' Allegiant Stadium and Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium all narrowly miss out.

All NFL fans will love their own home, but DAZN looks at five of the best stadiums to host NFL games in the 2023 season.

Lambeau Field - Green Bay Packers

The home of the Green Bay Packers, Lambeau Field is a work of art and with a capacity of 81,441 is the third largest stadium in the NFL.

The stadium is nicknamed 'The Frozen Tundra' after the 'Ice Bowl' on New Year's Eve in 1967 when the Packers hosted the Dallas Cowboys in temperatures of around −26°C.

The often freezing conditions and swirling winds make it a tough place for visiting teams, giving the Packers a true home advantage.

Packers players who score touchdowns will often be seen jumping into the stand during games in a tradition known as the 'Lambeau Leap'.

It is a tradition that dates back to the early 1990s, so if you are in the front row behind an end zone keep your eyes out for a leaping wide receiver or two.

SoFi Stadium - Los Angeles Rams/Chargers

Two NFL teams are lucky enough to share this masterpiece of a stadium, with the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers both calling SoFi Stadium home.

Built in 2020, SoFi is the most expensive stadium in the NFL having cost around $6 billion to construct.

The stadium's enormous looping jumbotron which shows content on both sides is something straight out of the future, as is almost every part of this stadium.

Despite being sheletered from bad weather by a beautifully designed, curving glass roof, SoFi is open at both ends of the stadium to allow a cool Pacific breeze to flow through.

However, if you are visiting be sure to bring some extra cash, as the food and drink available to fans at SoFi appear to be priced to help pay for the stadium itself.

Lumen Field - Seattle Seahawks

Seattle: Lumen Field, DAZN Italia

If you judge a stadium by the home advantage it gives its team then look no futher than Seattle Seahawks' Lumen Field.

Home to the '12th Man', Seattle's home support, the crowd at Lumen Field has twice broken the Guinness World Record for the loudness noise at a sporting event.

That is despite Lumen Field having just the 16th largest capacity of the NFL's current 30 stadiums, with 69,000 Seahawks fans packing in on Sundays to cheer their team.

The stadium itself has no bad seats, with those higher up able to look into Downtown Seattle, and being situated in the heart of the city it is easily accessible by public transport.

It may not be as large or as modern as some of the other arenas in the NFL, but Lumen Field makes for as good an experience as any.

Arrowhead Stadium - Kansas City Chiefs

If it is noise you are looking for, the one stadium that can go toe-to-toe with Lumen Field is the Kansas City Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium.

Arrowhead is a stadium built for fan experience, it does not have all the fancy technology that SoFi provides nor is it sheltered from the elements, but you will remember your visit should you go.

Remember that Guinness World Record that Lumen Field had? Well now it belongs to Arrowhead Stadium and the Chiefs fans who were recorded at 142.2 decibels in 2014 in a game against the New England Patriots.

Unlike Lumen Field, there is very little to do around the stadium and the huge car parks which sit around Arrowhead make for rather long queues on match days.

However, the fans that arrive early will enjoy a tailgating experience to remember with Kansas barbecue food as far as the eye can see.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium - Atlanta Falcons

To date, the biggest disappointment with the Mercedes-Benz Stadium has been the quality of football on display after a difficult few years for the Atlanta Falcons.

With some new explosive players ready to go in 2023, the on-field spectacle may take a step closer to matching the quality of the arena it is played in.

Its retracable roof of eight triangular panels is a work of art and like Lumen Field offers a brilliant viewing experience from any angle.

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is also one of the cheapest in the NFL, with both tickets and food and drinks prices being extremely reasonable.

The stadium will also play host to several games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Falcons fans will be hoping by that point they will have something to cheer for.
