The halftime show gets most of the press, but the list of national anthem performers at the Super Bowl is an impressive one in its own right.
The likes of Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Billy Joel, Neil Diamond and Garth Brooks have all sung the "Star-Spangled Banner" prior to previous NFL championship games, and this year country star Chris Stapleton joins the ranks.
Here's all you need to know about who is singing the national anthem, who's performing in the halftime show, and when the game takes place:
Who is singing the national anthem at Super Bowl LVII?
Born Christopher Alvin Stapleton on April 15, 1978, Chris Stapleton has been active in the industry since 2001.
But it wasn't until 2015 that Stapleton reached the heights that made him a household name, with the release of the album Traveller in May of that year. Traveller went No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming certified 6-times platinum by the RIAA. Each of his three subsequent albums — From A Room: Volume 1 (2017), From A Room: Volume 2 (2017) and Starting Over (2020) — also reached platinum status and all peaked inside the top three on the Billboard charts.
The Kentucky native also found crossover success in 2018 as the featured artist on the single "Say Something" by Justin Timberlake, which reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. A year later, Stapleton's song "Blow," featuring Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars, hit No. 53 on the pop charts.
When does Super Bowl LVII start?
