One of the stars of the NFL Combine, Xavier Worthy, has been getting a lot of attention this week.

The Texas wide receiver broke the NFL Combine record in the 40-yard dash, clocking a lightning-fast time of 4.21 seconds.

That time beat John Ross' previous record by one-hundredth of a second, and has made people sit up and take a closer look at Worthy.

In 2023 with the Longhorns, Worthy caught 75 passes for 1,014 yards and five touchdowns, scoring another on a punt return.

Worthy's speed has drawn comparisons to many NFL speedsters, but the incoming rookie wide receiver has named one, in particular, he has modeled his game on.

Speaking to the Up & Adams Show, Worthy said: "If I was comparing myself to anyone, I modeled my game on DeSean Jackson.

"He's my go-to, whenever I need to look at film I look at him.

"He's a really smart football player, I don't think people gave him credit for that."

Jackson retired in November 2023 after an NFL career that was littered with eye-catching touchdowns.

The former Eagles wide receiver still holds the NFL record for the most 60+ yard touchdowns with 26.

If Worthy can have a fraction of the career Jackson had in the NFL he will be a valuable selection in this year's draft.
