Brendan Loughnane reveals bucket list fight he wants against UFC contenderDAZN

2022 PFL featherweight champion Brendan Loughnane named the one opponent he wants to face before he retires from mixed martial arts, even if he is not sure the fight could ever be made.

He is riding a successful run of form at the moment after beating Marlon Moraes impressively at PFL 1 earlier this year.

Loughnane was appearing on the DAZN MMA Show ahead of his fight this Thursday on PFL, shown live on DAZN (check here for regions).

Asked which fight he would want to make, however unlikely, he picked out the hugely popular Liverpool fighter Paddy Pimblett, who currently fights in the UFC franchise, as his most-wanted bout.

He explained: “Think there’s one fight that you want, I want, the whole world wanted, it’s never going to happen.

“It’s seven years in the making, it’s me vs. Paddy Pimblett. It was always the fight.

“And I think if there was one where I could say it has to be ticked off before it is all said and done, that is the one everyone wanted to see.”

He continued: "Just for the northwest rivalry, you know, Paddy in the UFC, me in PFL. And I’d say that was the one that I always said that was the one I wanted before I hang it up. I’d go up to 55, 65, 105, whatever you want.”
