After spending a decade with Bellator MMA, Michael 'Venom' Page has announced that he has not renewed his contract with the organisation and will instead venture into free agency.
Speaking to The MMA Hour, Page revealed that his contract has indeed expired, but while Bellator will retain matching rights, the 36-year-old is looking to explore his options which could include a venture into boxing.
“I think it’s time for me to just explore what else is out there,” Page said.
“It doesn’t mean I’m not going to go back with Bellator. It just means I want to see what other people think of ‘MVP.’ ”
Page leaves Bellator with a 17-2 record and also plans to be cageside for this weekend's UFC London event which sees British heavyweight Tom Aspinall return from injury to take on Marcin Tybura in the main event.
