Conor McGregor has "retired" from mixed martial arts ... again.
Shortly after the conclusion of UFC 250, the former two-division UFC champion took to Twitter to announce that he is done with fighting.
This comes on the heels of Jon Jones and Jorge Masvidal expressing their unhappiness with the UFC and its current pay structure. Jones publicly scoffed at the UFC's reluctance to pay his asking price to move up to heavyweight for a fight against Francis Ngannou and dared the MMA promotion to release him. Masvidal recently questioned the split between the UFC and its fighters after he revealed he was going to be paid less to fight Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title than he was for his match against Nate Diaz for a made-up "BMF" title.
McGregor gave no reason for his sudden retirement and whether his rationale falls in line with those of Jones and Masvidal.
This isn't the first time McGregor has "retired" from the sport.
Back in 2016, he set the sporting world on fire when he tweeted about stepping away from MMA.
