Conor McGregor's UFC comeback has been one shrouded in uncertainty.
Despite numerous teases from the Irishman for a fight date in 2024, there has been no official word as to when fans can expect to see McGregor back in the Octagon.
Just a few days ago it seemed like McGregor's UFC comeback was no closer to taking place, but when speaking in an interview with The MMA Hour, he revealed that his first fight in the UFC since 2021 is closer than ever.
“The call has been made and we’re a go,” McGregor said.
“This means this summer, the Mac is back. So I’m happy with my time I’ve got in the lead-up to it, I’m happy with where I’m at, and everything just works out in God’s name. And I’m ecstatic where I’m at. I’ve got great news the other day.”
When it comes to a potential opponent, all roads seem to lead to a showdown with Michael Chandler after the two were competing head coaches on a recent series of The Ultimate Fighter.
