Dan Hardy explains how Francis Ngannou can beat Tyson FuryDAZN

Like it or not, it has finally been announced, the crossover fight between WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

The pair are set to meet in Saudi Arabia on October 28 and it's safe to say that the majority of boxing purists are not happy with the contest.

In addition to holding up what is an exciting heavyweight division, there is the fact that many see Fury making easy work of Ngannou who will be making his professional boxing debut.

However, venturing into the world of professional boxing is something that Ngannou has long desired and Dan Hardy explained how Ngannou make this foray into the squared circle a successful one.

"I would be having him watch Mike Tyson all the time. I would have him working that ‘peekaboo’ style, slipping side-to-side," Hardy told The DAZN MMA Show when explaining how Ngannou could beat Fury.

"Tyson stands quite tall, uses his lead hand very well to keep people off, that’s going to be Ngannou’s main focus to get around that lead hand.

"Once he’s around it, you have got to think about attacking different targets, the temptation is going to be going for the home run and swinging for his face over and over again.

"Against someone as slick as Tyson Fury, you’re going to waste time punching air and he’s going to make you look silly.

"I would be working body shots and I would take a leaf out of Canelo’s books and work triceps as well."
