Dominick Reyes entered his September 2020 clash with Jan Błachowicz, having taken Jon Jones the distance seven months prior in a fight that many felt like he did enough to win. And then it happened.
Reyes was introduced to "Polish Power" via Błachowicz' clubbing left hook that made him stumble backward, before being finished seconds later to lose out on the opportunity of being crowned light heavyweight champion of the world.
Now, nearly eight months removed from that emphatic TKO, Reyes is back. "The Devastator" will look to snap his two-fight skid Saturday night, when he meets
Jiří Procházka in the headliner of UFC Fight Night, live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
The 31-year-old Reyes was previously unbeaten before Jones and Błachowicz changed that. Nevertheless, he'll try to pick up his first victory since a first-round KO of Chris Weidman in October 2019.
Procházka enters this bout coming off a second-round KO of Volkan Oezdemir back in July of last year. It took Reyes a three-round split decision to edge Oezdemir in March 2019.
Will Reyes get back to his winning ways at light heavyweight or will Procházka make it 10 straight stoppages in his biggest fight yet?
