Former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier seems to have confirmed that his next fight will be at welterweight.
Poirier last fought in the main event of UFC 291 in July against Justin Gaethje, but "The Diamond" found himself on the wrong end of a brutal knockout head kick in the second round.
A move up in weight for Poirier has been a long running rumour, but now a simple post on X has teased his next move.
"Ok I'll move up," Poirier wrote.
This post then caught the attention of one of the UFC's rising stars, unbeaten contender Shavkat Rakhmonov who responded to Poirier's tweet with a simple "Ok".
If Poirier does indeed make the move to welterweight, a fight with Rakhmonov would certainly be one which will excite MMA fans across the globe.
