Hours after being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his classic 2012 fight with Alexander Gustafsson, Jon Jones was arrested in Las Vegas early Friday morning and is facing charges of battery domestic violence and injuring and tampering with a vehicle. ESPN was the first to report Jones' arrest.

Clark County records show that Jones is still in custody and will make his first appearance in court on Saturday morning.

This continues the string of arrests of Jones.

Back in March 2020, the former UFC light heavyweight champion was arrested in New Mexico for aggravated DWI, negligent use of a firearm, possession of an open container and no proof of insurance.

In 2012, Jones was arrested after crashing his Bentley into a utility pole in suburban New York. He pled guilty to DUI charges, paid a fine, and had his driver's license suspended for six months.

Then in 2015, Jones was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Albuquerque where he drove through a red light and crashed into two different vehicles, including one belonging to a pregnant woman. Jones fled the scene and later turned himself in when a warrant was issued for his arrest. Jones again pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and received 18 months of supervised probation.

Outside of his legal troubles, Jones (26-1) has prepping for a move to heavyweight after relinquishing the 205-pound title in 2020 after beating Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February 2020. Jones hopes to compete in the second quarter of 2022 against the winner of heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and interim titlist Cyril Gane.
