Logan Paul never experienced the taste of victory in boxing, as his bouts against fellow YouTuber KSI ended in a majority draw and split-decision loss.
But that doesn't mean that Paul's fighting career is done. While appearing on Eddie Hearn's Instagram Live chat Friday, Paul told the Matchroom Boxing USA president about his dream of applying his wrestling background for one mixed martial arts fight.
"That's my secret, bro," he told Hearn, referring to his background in wrestling. "I need to do one MMA fight before I die, and I would love to do it with Matchroom Boxing or Matchroom MMA."
Hearn said that he'd love to launch an MMA leg of his promotional outfit with Paul's MMA debut, perhaps further fueling the YouTuber's aspirations.
Paul, who has over 21 million YouTube subscribers, had a sparring session with UFC fighter Paulo Costa at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas earlier this year, as he documented on his account.
The session had Paul being knocked out cold with a vicious overhand right, while he and Costa were boxing. However, Paul seemingly held his own on the mat, as the video showed him wrestling the Brazilian powerhouse well. Costa even praised Paul following their wrestling session.
“Ninety percent of guys who go to train MMA have good technique, but not hard spirit, not big heart, you know?” Costa told Paul. “You have both.”
Perhaps Paul should use the compliment as a springboard to build toward that MMA fight.
Who would it be against, though?
