Big prizes will be on the line, starting later this month in Frankfurt.

OKTAGON MMA heads to Frankfurt for OKTAGON 46 on Saturday 16th September, headlined by the women’s strawweight title fight, as Jacinda Austin takes on Katharina Dalisda. Fans at the sold out arena will also be treated to the semi finals of OKTAGON MMA’s innovative Tipsport Gamechanger.

In an aim to become ‘The Champions League of MMA’, OKTAGON MMA launched the Gamechanger competition to reward fighters in their welterweight category with prize money never seen before in European MMA.

All 4 fighters competing in the semi-finals are guaranteed to make at least €80,000, with those moving on to the final are guaranteed a minimum of €130,000.

The semi-finals will see former OKTAGON MMA Welterweight Champion, David Kozma vs Bojan Velickovic, as well as Louis Glismann vs Andreas Michailidis.

Pavol Neruda, co-owner of OKTAGON MMA, said: “We want to reward our fighters with the pay that they deserve. The 1 million euro prize pot for the Gamechanger has given the 16 competing fighters the chance to earn money, as well as make history by winning the tournament.

“We want to create heroes with this tournament, but our fighters’ health is the most important thing, and financial rewards are important. As we have grown, the prize money has increased, and will continue to do so.”
