UPDATE: UFC 249 live results, highlights

After weeks of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UFC is back in business with UFC 249.

Headlined by a thrilling showdown between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje for the interim UFC lightweight championship, the event is fully stacked with intriguing fights from top to bottom.

Aside from the main event, there is a bantamweight title tilt between champion Henry Cejudo and former champion Dominick Cruz. There's also a hard-hitting heavyweight showdown that will likely determine the new top contender for the heavyweight title as Francis Ngannou is paired with the undefeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

Late Friday, it was announced that Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza had tested positive for coronavirus, and his middleweight fight vs. Uriah Hall is off. But the rest of the card is on as planned.

The event will take place with no fans in attendance at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. But that doesn't mean that fans won't be able to witness the card as it will be available on pay-per-view.
