The British heavyweight is in action this weekend.

Britain's Tom Aspinall is confident he can get the win against Sergei Pavlovich despite the short notice he was given for the fight.

Aspinall was not originally set to feature at this weekend's UFC 295 event in New York, but was called in to face Pavlovich on two weeks notice after UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones was forced to pull out of the main event after suffering an injury in training camp ahead of a clash with Stipe Miocic.

Now Aspinall and Pavlovich will meet for the interim UFC heavyweight title in the co-main event of UFC 295, and while the preparation has been far from ideal for Aspinall who has not been able to undertake a full training camp, he is convinced that his hand will be raised on Saturday night.

"I’m fighting the scariest guy in MMA in my opinion, in the worst circumstances possible without a training camp,” Aspinall told the world's media on Wednesday

"I obviously think I can win. I’m not the kind of guy who shows up for money. I ain’t signing a contract and showing up if I don’t think I can win.

"I truly, truly believe that I’m going to win on Saturday night. I’m an absolute winner, and I’m going to find a way to win, regardless of the circumstances.”
