UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is set to headline UFC 300, defending his title for the first time against American fighter Jamahal Hill.
Pereira secured the title at UFC 295 with a second-round stoppage victory against Jiri Prochazka, becoming the ninth fighter to claim a UFC championship in more than one weight division.
Meanwhile, Hill has not been in action since January 2023 when he also won the light heavyweight strap by defeating Glover Teixeira at UFC 283. The title reign was short-lived for Hill, who suffered an Achilles tendon injury and had to vacate the belt before he could defend it.
