After the UFC 303 press conference in Dublin, Ireland was postponed earlier in the week, many MMA fans questioned whether the Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler main event was in jeopardy.
Well, perhaps the UFC helped answer those questions. During its UFC Louisville main card Saturday night, the company ran a promo seemingly confirming that the UFC 303 main event between McGregor and Chandler remains on for June 29, live on pay-per-view.
That's good news for MMA fans wanting to see "Notorious" return to the Octagon for the first time since July 2021, when he suffered a broken leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier during their trilogy fight.
The 35-year-old McGregor (22-6) will enter his fight against Chandler having lost two straight bouts and three of his last four, hoping to get back into the win column against a pitbull of a fighter.
Chandler (23-8) is coming off a November 2022 loss to Poirier and has also tasted defeat in three of his last four fights.
