Jared Anderson is quietly climbing the heavyweight rankings. John Fury think the American prospect has what it takes to go all the way.

John Fury has long been his son’s biggest supporter. Predicting glory for Tyson Fury has been the senior Fury’s trademark since Tyson started his career and that volume has been turned higher since Fury became world champion after defeating Wladimer Klitschko in 2015.

With Fury on the verge of agreeing a monumental series with Anthony Joshua, John has gone on record multiple times stating that the current WBC champion will be victorious. He also believes that his son will end his boxing career undefeated.

"Not in this era, no,” was Fury’s response when asked by Sky Sports if Tyson would ever lose. “Not unless Muhammad Ali, Marvin Hagler, Ernie Shavers, 'Sugar Ray' Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran and Floyd Mayweather all rolled into one!

"They aren't going to beat him. You can see the crop of heavyweights - they are all good, but not in Tyson's class. Tyson is out there on his own. Unless there is a fighter born, who comes out of nowhere with an amazing talent, but I've not seen him yet.”

With astonishing confidence in his son’s ability to see out his career without ever experiencing a loss, Fury doesn’t see much out there that could threaten Tyson’s dominance. There is one heavyweight he believes can step up when Fury retires and that is Ohio’s Jared Anderson.

"There's one - Jared Anderson. He's an unbeaten heavyweight with [promoter] Bob Arum. I do believe he can be the next big thing when Tyson is gone. But the kid is only 21 years old. He's got a bit to do yet. He's the only one who stands out for me. All these other guys? They are all on the same par."
