For many fans, Alphonso Davies is Canadian soccer.
The Bayern Munich star has quickly become the face of the sport in his home country, thanks in large part to his electric style of play and magnetic personality. Davies is far more than just flash, however, as the 22-year-old has quickly established himself as one of the key members of a dominant Bayern side that continues to win championships domestically and in Europe.
Davies' pace and dribbling ability are obvious to anyone who watches him play, and he's used that to help propel the Canadian men's national team to heights not seen since well before he was born.
With a lot of soccer still to play in the years ahead, Davies' impact can only be expected to grow.
DAZN takes a look at the career of Davies so far.

Alphonso Davies' biggest moments
There have already been a number of big moments in Davies' career, but here are the top three:

Canada had only made it to the World Cup one time (in 1986) prior to Qatar 2022. A big part of the Canadians' qualification for Qatar was Davies, and it was fitting that the team's biggest star was the one who scored their first goal at the biggest stage on the planet.
Streaking down the middle of the pitch to meet a Tajon Buchanan cross, Davies' thunderous header less than two minutes into the match against Croatia was the high mark in an otherwise forgettable performance by Canada.
Davies' stunning solo effort vs. Panama, Oct. 13, 2021
If there was a single moment that made fans truly believe that Canada was destined to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in 36 years, it surely was Davies' incredible goal against Panama in Toronto in late 2021.
The speedster showed off his blistering pace and determination in chasing down a seemingly lost ball along the sideline, surprising the Panamanian defender who was casually trotting alongside waiting for the ball to roll into touch. Instead, Davies' caught up just in the nick of time after a 40-yard sprint, took one touch to keep the ball in play, then turned inside before shooting low and inside the near post.
It was the goal that put Canada ahead for the first time in the match, and they never looked back as they eventually won 4-1.
Davies' breakout vs. Chelsea, Feb. 25, 2020
Bayern's UEFA Champions League match at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea was Davies' introduction to the world as a bonafide star in the making.
At just 19 years old, Davies was still working his way into the squad as a regular, but he had already shown flashes of the crazy athleticism that has defined his career so far. Against Chelsea, he dominated the left side of the pitch, bombing up and down the wing and generally giving the Blues fits both on attack and defensively.
The defining moment of the game was a blistering run by the Canadian that resulted in a simple tap-in for Robert Lewandowski, as Davies' work up to that point created perhaps the easiest goal of Lewandowski's career.
