Emmanuel Petit believes that Arsenal should sign Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva.
The Portuguese international was man of the match last weekend in the 3-0 victory at Old Trafford against crosstown rivals Manchester United.
He had been linked with a move away last summer but while players such as Aymeric Laporte and Ilkay Gundogan departed, they kept hold of Silva.
Speaking to OLBG, former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit said that his old team should look to bring him to the Emirates.
He said: “I would love to see Bernardo Silva at Arsenal. He was great at Old Trafford. Arsenal need a player like him - one who can play in every single position. You know he's going to play well no matter where you stick him.”
Arsenal fell just short of City last year in the race for the title, so Silva would provide them a huge lift while weakening their rivals.
Petit continued: “His passes are great and he's so intelligent tactically. He's also perfect in the dressing room. He can do so many things on the pitch.”
