Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith has backed Gabriel Martinelli to come good for Arsenal in the final weeks of the season.
The Brazilian has struggled to find top form this season amid a campaign interrupted by injury, with only six Premier League goals to his name.
However, Smith told instantcasino.com that he thinks Matinelli will still have a part to play in the Gunners title charge.
He said: "There’s been a decline in form. He’s had one or two injuries which have kept him out and limited his game time,"
"At one stage I’d say Arsenal were dependent on him on that left hand side, so the good thing is that they clearly don’t miss him as much as they did before because you’ve now got Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz who can slot in there as well as Leandro Trossard.
“I think he can still play a massive part in Arsenal’s season because he’s such a fantastic player when he’s fit – he can be unstoppable at times and he’s been a brilliant player for the club over the past couple of years.”
