David Seaman believes Arsenal will be ready to go again next season and praised the Gunners for going so close to winning the Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta's side finished two points behind Manchester City to finish runners-up for a second season in a row, but the former Arsenal keeper believes they have what it takes to go to the next level next season.
“I was proud of the team, they played very well against Everton and they’ve played well all season,” Seaman said on his podcast Seaman Says, proudly sponsored by Parimatch.
“They only lost five games all season and that's normally good enough to win the Premier League, but Manchester City have only lost three and it is what it is.
“Mikel Arteta was so passionate in his speech after the game. It sounded like he was a bit emotional about it as well. He was saying that finishing second is not what he wants and they are good enough to go to the next level. It was a good speech.
“Now they have to go again next season. They’ve contended now for two seasons and, depending on what happens in the summer with players coming in and players going out, it will be interesting to see where the club finds itself. They'll go into next season as serious contenders for the title.”
